Refund Policy

1. Overview
PlanAligned offers paid subscriptions through Paddle, our payment processor and Merchant of Record. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available and how to request one. Because PlanAligned includes a free trial period before you're charged, we encourage you to evaluate the Service fully during the trial.
2. Free Trial
All new accounts receive a free trial period. A payment method is required to start the trial, and it will be charged automatically at the end of the trial for the plan you selected, unless you cancel first. The trial gives you full access to evaluate the Service before your first charge. We encourage you to use the trial period fully — refund requests are less likely to be approved when a free trial was available and unused.
3. Subscription Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan selected. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged at the start of each new period. Annual plans are billed as a single payment for the full year.
4. Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at billing@planaligned.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your account remains active and fully functional until the period ends — you will not be charged for subsequent periods.
5. Refund Eligibility
We offer refunds in the following circumstances: (a) you were charged in error due to a billing system issue on our part; (b) you subscribed and request a refund within 48 hours of your first paid charge and have not materially used the Service during that period; or (c) a verified technical failure prevented your account from functioning for a material portion of a billing period and we were unable to resolve it.
6. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are generally not issued for partial periods remaining after cancellation; failure to cancel before a renewal date; dissatisfaction with features or results that were accurately described before purchase; accounts suspended or terminated for violations of our Terms of Service; or annual plans after the 48-hour eligibility window has passed.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email billing@planaligned.com with your account email address, the subscription plan and billing date in question, and a brief description of the issue. We will respond within 3 business days.
8. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through Paddle. Processing time is typically 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer or bank. Paddle, as Merchant of Record, handles all refund disbursements.
9. Disputes and Chargebacks
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, contact us before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. We will work to resolve billing issues promptly. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in account suspension pending investigation.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Active subscribers will be notified of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
